Processing is carried out in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679 — GDPR), the French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended, and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC.
Purposes and Legal Bases
- B2B commercial outreach — legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR). A Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) is maintained internally and available upon reasoned request.
- Client relationship management and delivery of engagements — legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Invoicing, accounting and tax obligations — legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- Institutional communications (newsletter, publications) — legal basis: explicit consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), revocable at any time.
Categories of Data Collected
- Professional identity: name, first name, position, company
- Professional contact details: work email, work phone, LinkedIn profile
- Company data: corporate name, sector, size, publicly disclosed revenue, location
- Interaction history: emails sent/received, meetings, conversion through the commercial funnel
Sources of Data
Data is collected directly from the data subject (website forms, commercial exchanges, resource sign-ups) and/or from publicly accessible B2B sources in accordance with the French CNIL's doctrine on B2B nominative prospection (2020): LinkedIn, professional databases (Apollo.io, Pappers), institutional corporate websites, sectorial publications.
Retention Periods
- Non-converted prospects: maximum 3 years from the last active contact (CNIL recommendation).
- Clients: 10 years for contractual and accounting data (legal obligation); 5 years for post-engagement exchanges under commercial prescription.
- Individuals who have exercised their right to object (opt-out): permanent retention, limited to the email address, within an exclusion list to ensure their request is respected.
- Invoicing data: 10 years (French Commercial Code).
Recipients and Processors
Data is accessible only to Before Conseil staff in the strict context of their engagement, and to our technical subprocessors governed by contracts compliant with Article 28 of the GDPR (see "Subprocessors" section). No data is sold to third parties.
Your Rights
Pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR and Articles 48 to 56 of the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (art. 15) — obtain confirmation that personal data concerning you is being processed and receive a copy.
- Right to rectification (art. 16) — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (art. 17) — "right to be forgotten" in the cases provided for by the regulation.
- Right to restriction of processing (art. 18).
- Right to data portability (art. 20) — receive your data in a structured and interoperable format.
- Right to object (art. 21) — including to commercial outreach, at any time and without having to provide a reason.
- Withdrawal of consent (art. 7.3) where processing is based on it.
- Right to post-mortem directives (art. 85 of the French Data Protection Act).
Exercising Your Rights
Any request may be sent by email to contact@before-partners.com or by postal mail to the registered office. Proof of identity may only be requested in the event of reasonable doubt as to your identity. A response will be provided within a maximum period of one month from receipt of the request (art. 12.3 GDPR), extendable by two months for complex or numerous requests. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

Commercial Outreach
Before Conseil conducts commercial outreach to professionals, via their professional contact details, in the context of its M&A advisory, fundraising and financial advisory activities. This processing is based on legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) and complies with the French CNIL's doctrine on B2B nominative prospection (2020).
Identification sources: LinkedIn, professional databases (Apollo.io, Pappers), institutional corporate websites, direct professional network.
Unsubscribe options: at any time, without having to state a reason, you may object to any future commercial contact through any of the following channels:
- "Unsubscribe" one-click button displayed by your email client (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) at the top of each email received — in accordance with RFC 8058.
- Reply "STOP" or "UNSUBSCRIBE" to any of our emails.
- Send a direct email to contact@before-partners.com.
Your request is processed immediately. Your email address is added to a permanent exclusion list to ensure that you will no longer receive any Before Partners communication, even in the context of new campaigns or changes in target segments.
Cookies and Audience Analytics
No advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or profiling are deposited by this website. No third-party tracker is loaded for advertising purposes.
This website uses Plausible Analytics, an audience measurement solution self-hosted in Germany (European Union), designed with privacy as a core principle:
